A residence on a 50 × 25m plot on historic Shela Island, blending Swahili architectural heritage with the functional clarity of Bauhaus design.

Cascading eastward down the dunes, the home captures panoramic views of Manda Island and the Indian Ocean while unfolding as a series of interconnected, light-filled spaces defined by clean lines and purposeful simplicity.

With six suites organized around a central, tower-like kitchen, the design promotes seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living, complemented by shaded courtyards, roof garden terraces, and a pool that strengthen the home's connection to its natural surroundings.
